The Dorchester version of this multi national Pho chain always serves up fresh & delicious pho in short order for extremely low prices. All of their menu options are tasty, too; they have a smattering of Vietnamese standards, from Bun Bo Cha to Bahn Mi, to vermicelli bowls, to a 7 course beef tasting meal. The restaurant itself is reasonably spacious for the neighborhood and probably accommodates about 50 guests.

One of the best Pho houses in Dorchester, and for that matter all of Boston, and again, by that criteria, in the country. Mind you, I am speaking strictly of the quality of their pho; the restaurant itself is in Fields Corner, which is not the greatest neighborhood in the city. The interior is bare bones, very 1970s era kitsch decor, though they do have two TVs and show the news during the day, and Vietnamese variety shows during the evening. Most of the clientele and all of the staff are Vietnamese, and that authenticity is reflected in the food. Their pho has a deliciously rich broth, and they will serve it in the traditional way, with the sliced steak raw on a platter, if you ask. An extra large costs around $6.50, and is enormous. Their other dishes are quite tasty, too, but if is - as the name suggests - primarily about the Pho here.

The Ashmont Grill is great... the atmosphere is warm, friendly and hip. I am always happy with the service and the food, and I feel good when I'm there. As the pioneer sit-down restaurant in Peabody Square, it stands out as a retreat for people who want a downtown-style eatery in the local neighborhood.
Offers local and organic food, including herbs grown in there restaurant’s patio, used recycled materials in the renovation of building, recycles kitchen grease into biodiesel fuel, manages storm water through a garden and permeable patio blocks.

There are lots of Haitian restaurants in the dorchester area. But nothing compares to Bon Appetit. It's clean and the service is decent. It's the most popular take-out place, but it also has seatings. And when it comes to buying tickets for community events, Bon Appetit is also the most popular place.

Very nice and simple place to get some good curried goat or some jerk chicken. People drive from far to come to this place for food.

Eclectic lighting fixtures made out of clear buckets, lights, and nostalgia hang from the ceiling. A signpost stands in the middle of the room , adding to the atmosphere, by directing you to the towns of Kilkenny, Tillargan and Dunboyne.
The Banshee, located in Dorchester, offers a full Irish breakfast, with Irish sausage and bacon, black and white pudding, tomato, beans, and home fries. You'll also find bread pudding and cottage pie along with all the other pub grub. Classic Irish bar fare at a decent price. Thursday night they spin traditional Irish music after 9pm. Very authentic and a great local bar.
This spot probably has the best coverage of British sporting events of any bar in Boston. American sports are shown as well, so regardless of what your sport is, you will see it on one of many plasma screens. They show everything from NFL Football on Sundays to English Premier League soccer, to Rugby Tri-Nations Cup action.
