Geneva
Located in Meeting House Hill, Bowdoin/Geneva is one of the most historic villages of Dorchester. The area dates back to Boston's first settlement in 1630. This area starts at the Geneva Avenue Cliffs and Urban Wild, and branches out from there along Geneva Avenue to Fields Corner and Bowdoin Streets to St. Peter's Church. Seven bakeries and restaurants serve Cape Verdean, Jamaican, Dominican, West Indian, Chinese, and classic American foods. Mt. Ida, Ronan Park, is the park on the hill sloping southwest from Meeting House Hill. Mount Bowdoin is the hill bounded by Bowdoin Street, Washington Street and Geneva Avenue.
